These cheerful papier mache birds are made from recycled paper and individually hand-painted by women artisans with Dam Dam in Haiti. Each one brings its own bright folk-art personality, making it just as sweet tucked into a holiday tree as it is hanging somewhere you can enjoy it year-round.
Dam Dam is a women’s cooperative in Leogane, Haiti, a community heavily affected by the 2010 earthquake. Through their recycled craftwork, the artisans create colorful pieces while earning income within their community.
