A little heart made by hand—and far too pretty to pack away after Christmas.
Each of these colorful heart ornaments is completely handmade and embroidered by textile artisans in Cuetzalan del Progreso, Puebla, Mexico. Traditional textile techniques meet bright color and intricate pattern in a piece that feels more like tiny fiber art than an ordinary ornament.
Hang one on the Christmas tree, of course—but don't stop there. Add it to a cabinet knob, peg rail, wall hook or anywhere that could use a happy little pop of color year-round.
The hearts are created by artisans of Mazatzin, a weaving workshop founded in 2006 that has grown to support dozens of women artisans in the Cuauhtamazaco community.
